Jewish law is often presented as a comprehensive, self-contained, and all-encompassing legal system. Yet beyond the classics on the bookshelf and in the classroom, lived experience and theoretical inquiry challenge this conception. To explore these tensions and their implications, the Jewish Law Association invites scholars from a wide range of disciplinary perspectives to reflect on the theme of the Jewish Law Association’s International 2027 Conference, Inside/Outside: Jews, Law, and Jewish Law.

Held in Brazil in the period leading up to the Women’s World Cup, the conference brings together scholars, practitioners, educators, policymakers, athletes, advocates, and community leaders concerned with the social, cultural, political, and economic dimensions of sport. The annual conference serves as the Network’s central meeting point for interdisciplinary inquiry into how sport both reflects and reshapes wider social relations.

Dans un contexte de raréfaction de la ressource en eau et de prise de conscience politique du changement climatique et de ses effets, cette thèse s’intéresse aux transformations des modes de gestion de l’eau dans les Pyrénées occidentales depuis les années 1950, et aux enjeux propres à la reconnaissance de ces savoirs. À partir d’une approche située à l’intersection de l’histoire environnementale et de l’ethnologie, elle analyse les pratiques d’irrigation héritées et les savoirs écologiques traditionnels associés aux socio-hydrosystèmes montagnards. Le projet est d’étudier les processus d’effacement, de transmission, de réactivation via les dynamiques de patrimonialisation de ces pratiques face aux mutations agricoles, aux politiques d’aménagement et aux nouvelles politiques d’adaptation climatique.

Founded in 2000, the Diversity in Organizations, Communities & Nations Research Network is brought together by a shared interest in human differences and diversity, and their varied manifestations in organizations, communities, and nations. We aim to traverse a broad terrain, sometimes technically and other times socially oriented, sometimes theoretical and other times practical in their perspective, and sometimes reflecting dispassionate analysis while at other times suggesting interested strategies for action. Our aim is to build an epistemic community where we can make linkages across disciplinary, geographic, and cultural boundaries. As a Research Network, we are defined by our scope and concerns and motivated to build strategies for action framed by our shared themes and tensions.

This Call for Papers invites contributions spanning from Prehistory and Antiquity, through the Middle Ages, Early Modern, and Modern periods to the Twenty-first Century. We explore borders and sustainability through human and natural resources, water systems, Pre-Columbian and Post-Columbian American histories, island studies like Rapa Nui, endangered and minority languages, and local history.

Ce colloque international se propose de réfléchir aux enjeux sociolinguistiques, psychologiques, didactiques et anthropologiques des parlers vernaculaires au Maroc. Il vise à interroger la transition de l’oralité domestique vers les espaces de légitimation institutionnels, éducatifs, et virtuels à partir d’approches résolument interdisciplinaires (sciences du langage, sciences de l’éducation, anthropologie, humanités numériques). Les contributions porteront sur l’institutionnalisation, les pratiques discursives contemporaines, les rapports entre insécurité linguistique et estime de soi, l’hybridation des codes, ainsi que sur les défis didactiques liés à l’intégration des langues maternelles dans l’enseignement.

Les profondes mutations géopolitiques, technologiques et scientifiques que connaît le monde contemporain redéfinissent les conditions de production, de circulation et de valorisation des connaissances. Dans un contexte marqué par l’essor de l’intelligence artificielle générative, la transformation des écosystèmes numériques, les enjeux de science ouverte et la recomposition des équilibres internationaux, les savoirs deviennent un levier majeur de développement, d’influence et de coopération. La diplomatie scientifique apparaît désormais comme un instrument stratégique permettant de renforcer les collaborations internationales, de favoriser le dialogue entre les communautés scientifiques et de construire des réponses collectives aux défis globaux.
